Do you go to the same camp every summer (or plan to) OR do you like to look around at other camps (or plan to) each year?

Depends on lots of things - i have returned to camps for a second year but I think part of it depends on length of time between being there and whether I can get the job I want but if I can I like the camp then I would go back

Instead of a podcast to prepare, we just have a facebook group... that's about it.

Podcast for my camp is basically an introduction to different things about our camp like camp traditions like life in the dining hall, cheers, birthdays, olympics and other facets of camp. We have one every week before camp and we may have some during camp for parents. For some reason I love the podcasts because I get to know more about camp before I attend training. I get to know more about camp that what was described during my training and what is in the 2008 manual-- my camp is in the process of updating it for this year

no as a side bar at my new camp the only "camp name" we use is Aunt or Uncle as a sign of respect for example my name would be Uncle Marty

Never! (I hear people (guiders) talking about having a different camp name each summer according to the theme of the camp but that wont be me - Smudge or Anna - regardless of the theme!)

Not. I couldn't change mine. It's to good a fit.

Is it just me or those who use the name 'Princess' usually act like one?

Totally!

Should you choose your own camp name or have it given to you?

Have it given to you, but only once (like, after you've been 'named', you can introduce yourself as that at another camp).

As a side note, my camp doesn't really do camp names, but a lot of my camp friends call me "Barbie", because during my LIT year we had 3 Sarah LITS and at least 4 staff with my name. And I brought a Barbie doll to camp as a symbol of myself, haha. So now a lot of my buds call me Barbie, and that's what I tend to get called over the walkies.
